Edith M. Flanigen joined Union Carbide in 1952 after earning her Master of Science in inorganic chemistry from Syracuse University. Her breakthrough discovery and development of molecular sieves led to significant advances in inorganic materials and the petrochemical industry. The Edith M. Flanigen Honeywell UOP Invitational Lecture in Materials Science Series was created by UOP to honor Edith’s creativity and achievements. This year, Prof. Ozin was awarded the opportunity to deliver the fifth annual lecture of this series. Congratulations Geoff!
