Geoff’s Tier 1 Canada Research position has been renewed for a third term until 2021!
The goal of the research is to discover materials and processes which have the capacity to transform carbon dioxide, water and sunlight to carbon monoxide, methane or methanol at a technologically significant efficiency, scale and cost. If this ‘leaf mimic’ can be realized experimentally it will serve two purposes by providing a renewable alternative to fossil fuels and removing instead of adding, greenhouse gas to our atmosphere, thereby ameliorating the energy, climate and environmental concerns facing humanity today.
